My Kia looks great. The repairs went good. It is the fact that the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. I kept getting robo messages on the progress, but they were very deceiving. Apparently the radiator support was on back order and nobody bothered to catch that. If I hadn't called Caliber for a real update, nobody would have caught it. Then I kept getting promise dates that could not be kept. My original promise date of 30 days ended up being closer to 40 days..

Just a nightmare from the day my vehicle was dropped off for repair. Alex (advisor) was sort of taken back when he learned that I am not a typical female that could be fed inaccurate information. When we looked my vehicle over once it arrived at Caliber, Alex wanted to rush through the walk around, and did not seem pleased when I lifted the hood of the vehicle and was asking knowledgeable questions. M I come from a family of mechanics, and I do know what I am looking at / talking about. Alex actually asked me "Can we lower the hood now, are we done here? When I was still pointing things out to him. During the entire process, I would get automated email updates on the progress of my repairs. After one update, informing me that my vehicle was almost completed, I called the Carbondale Illinois location for a real time update. At that point, Alex looked up my progress and said to me " we are waiting on a part to come in". " OH, this part - radiator support was supposed to be here last week". " I will call and see what the status is on this part and get right back with you. If I can't get the part right away, I will try to get it from somewhere else." Alex, did call me back that day ( a Friday) to tell me that the radiator support part was on back order, with no delivery date known. So then Alex said that on Monday he would call around to try to find the part elsewhere. IF Alex, or the repair tech would have been on top of the situation, he could have saved about 1 week on the repair by finding the part needed. From that point on, it was a daily telephone updates with unrealistic promises of when my vehicle would be completed. I would be promised the vehicle would be ready "tomorrow", yet.... it still had to have a bit of body work done once the radiator support was put on, then go to paint, then off site for a front end alignment, then offsite elsewhere for re-calibration. All of this went on for about a week. Finally, Dustin ( Mgr.) got involved, and made some more unrealistic promises. Finally, I got a phone call from Alex that my vehicle was finished about 4:45pm on Tuesday 3/24/26. It was assumed that I would drop everything and be there right away, but I caught a little disappointment in his voice when I said that it would be 6pm at the earliest since I live over 50 miles away. I finally picked up my vehicle the next day. While friendly, it was very well known that all they wanted was for me to pay my $1,000 deductible. Alex and I did a walk around of the repairs and all appeared good. Now

Alex and I did a walk around of the repairs to the front end, and all appeared good. Now that I have my vehicle home, the next day, Thursday 3/26/26 I noticed there are many scratches / gouges, scrapes on the rear bumper that were not there prior to the accident, and it's very clear that these are fresh scrapes / rubs. At this moment, I have not yet contacted Dustin from Carbondale to let him know, but I will. I cannot be sure WHO is responsible for the damage, whether it's from the tow truck delivering the vehicle to Caliber, if it was done when my vehicle was off site, or actually done AT Caliber, but I am VERY strongly recommending that Caliber repair this bumper and associated parts, AT NO COST TO ME. Progressive Insurance has been kept up to date on this incident, and let it be known that they are not happy either, especially since they are the ones that suggested using Caliber Collision.
