They are currently repairing for the 2nd time. After having my vehicle for a couple weeks (partially due to me being out of town) I was so excited to finally get it back. When the advisor pulled it around I could immediately see issues. Tape residue left on the rocker panel trim. Overspray on the wiper cowl, rear windows, B pillar, and C pillar. Fish eye in the paint on the left front fender, rubbing compound left slung from the hood to the rear hatch. Missing clips in the left front fender liner, lose left front lower door body molding, damaged left rear door molding (not from the buzzard who took out my mirror but the person to disassembled it and tried to hide it) and the worst part…. 2 tiny dents that occurred from the mirror breaking off were still clearly visible. All this was noticeable in less than 5 minutes. After waiting for 45 minutes for them to “fix” it they burnt through the clear coat and have to refinish once again. Poor repair on the door and zero care for quality at this location. This is a brand new car with 4,000 miles on it. Extremely disappointed in the experience so far with the Gainesville Florida location. IF it is acceptable after they fix it again then I will update accordingly…. Not getting my hopes up here.

The body work was fine, however setting and resetting the completion date was extremely unsettling. I was given a least five different dates. I have also been waiting over a year for a part to be delivered for another vehicle that was serviced at Caliber. I was told that the wrong part was sent after I inquired about the part. Unfortunately, my experience at Caliber has not been the best.

The people who work at Caliber Collision are phenomenal. Our circumstances were such that we had to interact with them on-line. For 72 year olds. like us, that was more traumatic than the collision! HOWEVER, the people were so patient with us. All of our concerns were addressed. We were kept up-to-date on a daily basis with the progress of the repairs on our car. (We were visiting our son who lives 5 hours away...more with traffic) so we never saw the shop or met the people until we picked up the car! The men worked hard and completed the repairs sooner than the estimated time of repair. When we picked up the car, Steve checked us in and reviewed the charges. What a wonderful reception he gave to us, and he smiled and made us feel at ease. Mark reviewed every aspect of the repair, and gave us a complete inspection and explanation of what was done to the car. He assured us that any other Caliber Collision Repair Shop could address our needs if required, which for us, was comforting, as we live in NJ! The guarantee on the repairs is country wide, which was comforting. The entire experience, including the office decor, made us at ease, comfortable, and brought a smile to our face. All of the employees were impeccably dressed, polite and considerate. I am thankful that USAA chose this company to work with, and we will be forever thankful for their knowledge and expertise.
