There was initially confusion on my part regarding the estimate process. I wanted to know the estimate as a State Farm select service shop, not self pay peior to filing a claim. They couldn't provide that info upfront and I wasn't aware that was how the process works. I just needed to make sure my, before filing a claim that the cost of the repair wouldn't outweigh the value of my vehicle since it was driveable.
