Two issues - main challenge is the 3 page estimate I got from Phill on 12/11 was for $2,519. That was $430 cheaper than having the body shop in Salida that has a great reputation, so I went with Classic. I wanted to confirm that there would be no surprises or bait and switch, so I emailed Phill on 12/15 where I recapped the scope of the project and what was included in the estimate, he responded back affirmatively. When I went to pay, the balance due was 50% higher than the estimate. Phill went and got the estimate and said there was an omission of the last page in what he sent me on 12/11, and the estimate was actually $900 higher. He apologized for the mistake when I asked “how do you leave the last page out of a PDF file by accident”, seems very hard to do if it was by accident. The other challenge is the paint match is not very good. I know paint takes different on plastic and also know that pearl white paint is challenging to match, but it’s not one shade off it’s two shades off (rest of truck has a gray undertone and the replace piece does not). I will probably have the local shop do a blend on that side of the truck when I am out of town at end Feb, so more hassle and more money

Work was great. Can’t even tell the truck was ever hit. Plus the detailing of the inside of the vehicle was awesome. I was not expecting that but it’s a nice little touch.
