My Experience

The entire process was handled very professionally. Taylor was always extremely helpful. The gentleman that discussed what was done to my car was very informative. Everything was very seemless during a stressful time after an accident. Thank you!

It has now been just over 2 months since I dropped my Yukon XL off for front end repairs. 2 weeks ago I was told repairs were complete. After having my vehicle back for less than 24 hours, I noticed a “thud” when stopping and after that, the front tires rubbing on turns. On my return to the shop, I was told repeatedly by Jarod that the “alignment machine showed it complete and working perfectly” – that the vehicle had passed the test and everything was fine. I explained that the machine was obviously wrong, the rubbing of the tires would confirm that the alignment was far from correct. This lead to me suspect that my vehicle was NEVER test driven after they thought repairs were complete or this issue would have been caught immediately. Jarod insisted on taking the vehicle on a test drive to apparently prove my point that there was an issue. As we backed out of the garage, Kurt (the adjustor I had been working with) could see how misaligned the front was and could easily prove it by simply sticking his fingers between the frame and tire. A week later I was told that the front suspension was supposed to be attached to the frame of the vehicle and that the machine they had on sight was not capable of doing this task. This leads me (again) to believe that the tech MUST have known that. This is a repair on a vehicle sold by Community. You would think the techs would KNOW this was a step to be completed and they skipped it. I was further told that the machine they have on site is not capable of accomplishing this kind of alignment and they had to reach out to another service center. This again shows me that someone looked at what they had done and thought “good enough” KNOWING that they were not using the proper machine to affect complete and safe repair, retuning my vehicle back to knowing the alignment would not be correct and what seems to be a very important step (attaching to the FRAME of the vehicle) was NOT completed. Community gets paid either way since this was an insurance claim, but I am far from impressed with their attention to detail and quality control. Steps were OBVIOUSLY skipped because they didn’t have the proper equipment, or they were in a hurry or someone just flat out didn’t know what they were doing. This is information I will be passing along to my insurance agency so they are aware to think twice before recommending this service center. Rushing through repair like this and skipping steps puts my family at risk. This is something I am far from “ok” with.
