I believe my previous comments explain it all.

Repair Quality

I got a new engine in my car. As soon as I turned on the engine I heard a severe belt squeak. I am wondering how a non-car person like me could have known that there was a belt issue, but the numerous car guys that heard my engine running and test drove my car could have missed it. I had to wait an extra hour to drive home because I had to wait for them to fix the problem that they missed. You charge up to $50 for an hour of your tech's time, but wasting an hour of my time was perfectly okay for your shop.

Customer Service

When I mentioned the belt squeak, a tech from the shop told me that I would have to leave the car overnight to get it fixed. When I mentioned that I lived in Reading and didn't really want to drive back the next day to waste more time, he went and checked his stock and saw that he had one and said they would put it on that night. Why wouldn't he have checked the stock first before he came to me and told me that I would have to wait for the next day. I understand that it was close to closing time, but I had to wait until after work to get there. The car was sitting on the lot "finished" for two days that it could have been fixed.

My Experience

It took Dutch Valley 17 days to repair my car, which were estimated to take 12 days. The completion date was changed twice. The first time the completion date was changed I was not notified by Dutch Valley ahead of time. I had to call and ask. The second time the completion date was changed I was notified at 5:30pm the evening before I was scheduled to pick up the car. I work full time Monday-Friday so it was difficult for me to adjust my work schedule so last minute multiple times. When the car was returned the radio did not work, so I had to bring the car back to fix it. Dutch Valley did not let my insurance provider (USAA) know about the second completion date change. As a result, USAA told Enterprise that I needed to pay for the cost of the rental car for 11/26/2014, because Dutch Valley told USAA that the car was complete on 11/25/2014. However, the car was not complete until 11/26/2014. My car was returned extremely dirty. I cleaned the inside of my car before dropping it off at Dutch Valley on 11/10/2014. When the car was returned on 11/26/2014 there was metal and plastic shavings all over the inside of the car and there was grease hand marks throughout the inside of the car.

The repair work was performed correctly. However, the radio did not work correctly when my car was returned so I had to take the car back to Dutch valley to get fixed. The inside of the car was extremely dirty when it was returned. There was small metal and plastic shavings through out the car and grease hand marks throughout the car.

Customer Service

The shop pushed back the completion date of the car twice. The first time I was not notified ahead of time about the change. The second time I received notice of the schedule change very last minute. Dutch valley also failed to notify USAA about the second completion date change. As a result, enterprise tried to charge me for a day of rental car service while my car was still being fixed.
