Founded June 1, 1980 Founders: Jerry Cervak & The Late Jim Vacala In June of 1980, we opened a checking account with $65.00 and proceeded to buy business cards and hats and started Metal Mites Auto Body. Metal Mites was the name Jerry's wife created for metal caricatures that Jerry was making as a hobby. The company was located in Jerry's garage from June, 1980 to January 1, 1982 when we moved to 8916 Fairview, Brookfield. In December of 1985 we had the opportunity to purchase Falconer Wheel & Brake's building. After months of rehab we made the "big move" into our home at 36 East Quincy, Riverside on June 1, 1986. mechanic working on car body Over the past 20 years we have had many changes and challenges. Unfortunately in March of 1997 we suffered our biggest loss when Jim passed on. He is sorely missed and will not be forgotten. Always treated with respect, car immaculate. Sometimes everyone has a different story about when the car will be done. I would give you a 10+ if you could perhaps always only rely on an email or phone call.

This is our first time using Metal Mites and it was a really good experience. While the repair took longer than hoped because of part availability (outside of MM control) the communication was excellent. We had 2 repairs done on one car, one covered by insurance and one out of pocket at a reasonable/honest price. We broke a mirror on our second car during the same time and had that done at MM too. Great team and I’d definitely recommend and use them again.
