North Country Collision was excellent. The car rental company said I had to pay the sales tax of $24. The car rental place seemed to be confused about the insurance plan. I thought the people at Nationwide were excellent.

The body work looks good. But I was told this was a 5-7 day job. They had it for 7 weeks. Vague explanations. Each week I was told they would contact the car rental agency to extend my rental, it wouldn’t be a problem. At one point Enterprise the car rental service called me, not wanting me to have a huge bill, said I was already over my allotted coverage. I called North country collision to get an update, well they need more time , they will call the car rental, won’t be a problem. I told him they just called me and I am over my rental allowance. “ Oh” he said “ you must have a limit on your rental “ ( I have a hard time believing he didn’t know that) so I returned the rental and I was without a vehicle for over 2 weeks. Finally it just needed an alignment. That took 2 days. They promised I’d have it done Friday July 26. I called a few times to check status and to find out when it would be ready. I had to try and arrange a ride to their shop with a neighbor. They told me to come 4:30-4:45. (They close at 5 pm). I got there around 4 pm since that’s when I could get a ride. My truck was just sitting there. They had another vehicle that it looked like they were washing or doing some sort of touch up. “ your truck isn’t ready yet “. ( I noted that no one came to pick up that vehicle). So I waited 45 minutes. When I drove away I discovered the air conditioning wasn’t working. It was already on A/C setting so they knew it wasn’t working. I drove about a mile pulled over and called. Tim answered and said it had been working (I don’t believe that). He said well I kind of rushed them, they are closing. I’ll have to come back on Monday. By the time I got home(about 15 miles) my brake light was on. Brake fluid was low and I had to refill each day. Also belt squealing each time I started it. Also steering wheel shakes at 55 mph. I talked to the shop that did the alignment. Said maybe tires were out of balance. He didn’t have time to check it out for weeks. I went back to North country collision… this is now Monday July 29. They fixed air conditioning fluid low I mentioned brake fluid low. They said it was just coincidence. ( it wasn’t leaking before I brought it to them). I believe they knew my a/c wasn’t working and they just wanted to make it difficult for me, make me come back “ because I rushed them “. I don’t know why this 5-7 day job turned into 7 weeks. No parts were on back order. The body work from what I can see looks good but I will always tell my experience to anyone looking for a body shop. I would be very reluctant to go back to that shop, North Country Collision in Potsdam NY I took my truck to my regular mechanic Matt Regan in South Colton NY for the above mentioned issues
