Scotsman’s Auto Body has been a well known name throughout the Long Island community since 1967. The current owner John Yazak, started working at the first facility located in Mt. Sinai, in 1986. After years of hard work and dedication John had worked his way up from the floor sweeper to owner. He purchased the first facility in 2010 located in Mt. Sinai. He then opened a second facility in 2016 located in Bay Shore and a third facility in 2017 located in Farmingdale. Scotsman’s has grown to become an organization of four state-of-the-art facilities that is dedicated to repair your vehicle to pre-loss condition properly and safely the first time. We will negotiate claims fairly and quickly with all insurance companies, non-insurance related repairs, and we work on all makes and models of vehicles. Although I was in no rush to have Felicity (the vehicle) repaired. I was a little disappointed with the frequency of updates. I was called the day they received the car, then 2 weeks later stating it would be an estimated 2 weeks for the repair.

I'm deducting 1 point for the lack of consistency with the front desk communicating updates in a timely manner. For example, I was given dates when mycar would be ready but then not called back with updates when the date was changed. I'm sure the shop is busy; the resulting work was excellent. However, I felt the responsibility fell on me to telephone the office for important schedule updates.
