School busses are also back on the road, and drivers must know when to stop for them so that students can get on and off safely. If you&#8217;re by a school, you&#8217;re likely sharing the road with more pedestrians and bicyclists.<br \/>\n<!--more-->Driving tips to help you navigate school traffic<\/p>\n<p>Here are some basic tips to help you whether you\u2019re dropping the kids off at school or simply driving past a school bus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When dropping off children at school, avoid double-parking. It can create blind spots for you, other drivers, and pedestrians.<\/li>\n<li>Always remain alert and slow down your speed in school speed zones. Aside from children, you\u2019ll also encounter crossing guards helping them across streets by the school.<\/li>\n<li>Know when to stop for a bus on certain types of roads.\n<ul>\n<li>On a two-lane road, vehicles going in both directions must stop.<\/li>\n<li>On multiple-lane roads, again vehicles going in both directions must stop.<\/li>\n<li>On a divided highway, vehicles behind the bus must stop. However, vehicles going in the opposite direction of the bus may proceed with caution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also ought to mention there are teens heading to schools in their cars.
