I brought my car in March 2. At that time I requested besides the rear end repairs, they look at the rear parking aid that was not working and change my oil, rotate the tires and take care of recalls. I was told that I would probably get my car back in a couple of days. At first I received emails assuring me that the body shop would communicate with me about the status of repairs. I had to call the body shop every few days to find out about my car. March 12, I finally got my first call from the body shop (til then I initiated all calls). The body repairs were made, I might get my car back March 13. March 13 I got a call saying the service shop had taken my car for what I requested the first day I took it in. It would be March 16 before my car would be ready. This was unacceptable. I insisted on taking my car home and bringing it back Monday. I drove off but drove right back because the rear end sensor was still not working. Of course it couldn’t be fixed until Monday. Some questions, why did this take 2 weeks? I got the excuse that it was because more parts had to be ordered. While it was sitting waiting for parts, why wasn’t someone servicing my car? Why wasn’t the rear end sensor not repaired? What else isn’t fixed that I don’t know about? What did they fix under the bumpers? This experience has me questioning why on earth I chose the Ford Body Shop to fix my 2012 Ford Edge.

At this time, we have noticed several items that need to be relooked at. My husband has contacted the body shop and wants to drive for at least 500 miles to fully inspect the work completed.

Our vehicle was in the shop for 5 months. We had little to no communication about our vehicle. I was the one constantly reaching out and then did not receive the updated estimates of repairs once it was determined there would be additional needs. Additionally, I requested information on how much the estimate was for if the vehicle is to be totalled and I received back and forth feedback of who would have this amount. In the end, I see that my insurance paid out over $17000 toward fixing the vehicle and when I Kelly Blue book my truck, it would be around $15-16000. It makes me question the integrity of the body shop and my insurance company.
