The company did a great job on my car’s repairs as seen at this time. The technician, Travis, updated me usually every couple of days regarding the repair work and of completion course and of any changes.

My Experience

Several issues. - I was told it would be ready one Friday afternoon. I was called that day and told that the paint had a flaw and needed some correction. That put the final date to Monday - when I would be out of town for three days. - Tuesday I received a call that the car wouldn't start and wouldn't take a jump. A bew battery was quoted at $ 350 or over $ 400. From Chucago, I had to call the dealership and schedule to have the car towed in. - Wednesday, I called to get an update. As it turns out, the car starting just fine, and was sent to alignment. I asked if the car would be ready Thursday morning. No, I was told, it still needed to be cleaned up. I was given no date for completion. So, from Chucago, I had to call and rent a car again. - Thursday morning, at work in OKC, I was called and informed the car was ready for pickup. I picked up the car late Thursday. Storms were coming in, so we drove home and parked the car. - Friday, I opened the back hatch to find the rear battery compartment covers were left unattached and laying in the back compartment. I reassembled the covers. - Driving to work that same day, I found that the Intune infotainment system would not boot up correctly. I knew I was taking the car in Saturday for regular maintenance, so I thought it could be looked at by rather Toyota techs then. - Saturday, the techs tell me it may take a couple of hours to reset the Intune system, so I have to reschedule to Tuesday. They did say that jumping the battery can cause the issue I am experiencing. Furthermore, the issue may not be repairable and may require a new system. So, I have already had to pay an extra car rental expense, looking at a service expense, and potentially a new infotainment expense. No, I am not satisfied with my service from Caliber.

The actual work they did was excellent. The hassles that came The service were aggravating. I received a call on a Friday that my car should be ready that day. Later, I received a call saying that the final inspection found a paint flaw, and it would be ready Monday. I turned my rental car in and left for a business trip to Chicago for the following Mon - Wed. I expected the car to be waiting for me Thursday morning when they opened. Tuesday, I received a call that the shop needed to talk to me about the car. I called, but after 5 minutes of being on hold, did not connect with my service person. Wednesday morning, I did get a hold of Tammy. She told me the car wouldn't start and wouldn't accept a jump. She had found replacement batteries for $ 350 and over $ 400. Which would I want? I told her to wait while I contacted my Toyota dealer. They told me to have towed. I put the dealership on alert that it was coming. I let Tammy know it needed to be towed. She agreed to get that done. I called back later to see what was happening. Tammy told me the car was running fine. They had taken it the alignment shop for testing/adjusting. I asked her if it would ready Thursday morning? She said it would not. It still needed to have paint dust cleaned up. (Remember, it was supposed to be ready Monday.) She also said that imrhe car had thrown a lot of codes and needed to be checked by their sister company. She did know when it would be ready. So, I called from Chicago and rented a car for two more days. Thursday late morning, back at the office in OKC, I received call telling me the car was complete. I dropped in late Thursday afternoon, as the storm front was coming, and picked up the car. I drove it straight home, about 2 miles away, and parked it overnight. Friday morning, I opened the back hatch to put my tools and "stuff" in the car. I discovered that the battery compartment covers were not reinstalled.reinstalled. They were laying in the back of the car. I put it all back together and went to work. On the way to work I found that my Intune infotainment system was not working correctly. I would start to boot up, but then blank out for 15 to 39 seconds, then try again. I knew I was having regular maintenance on the car the next day, so I let the issue slide until then. Saturday, the rmtech said that jumping the battery can cause that issue. They might be able to fix. They might have to replace the entire system. But, I wouldn't know until I take it back Tuesday. So, today is Mondat. I will find out tomorrow, hopefully, whether they can reset the system or whether I get to buy a new system. I am already out the cost of the rental car the cost of another service trip to Toyota, and maybe, the cost of a new Intune system.
