Capital Auto is an I-CAR GOLD CLASS collision repair facility. The shop has been serving the Fairfax, Northern Virginia and the greater DC metro areas for over 30 years. In 2021 ownership changed which led to a complete overhaul of the business including a top to bottom office renovation, new equipment, improved processes, new talent and the commitment of ongoing education and training, which transformed us into one of the most modern, efficient and competent collision repair shops in the DC area. Our goal is to provide top of the line repairs, customer service and overall experience. We use top of the line paint products to match our ambition for excellence. We promise to bring your vehicle to its pre-loss condition in appearance, safety and functionality, while minimizing the hassle that comes with being involved in an accident.

I wouldn’t have any problems using Capital Auto Shop for custom body work or future repair work. I’d also recommend them if the topic comes up.

The repair work appears complete and the paint repair appears blended and like new. My only complaint is a bit more coverage is necessary for the vehicle interior during repair. My rear seat appears to have shop dust in various seams that are likely because access to the rear was necessary to fully inspect for damage and execute repairs; so a bit of well secured plastic is recommended to avoid an extra cleaning level of effort. Due to the shop dust I’m giving them a 9 out of 10.

Customer service was professional, timely, and continuous in terms of updates. My only recommendation is to leverage text messages vice voice calls. Text could also include links to their portal with any notes, pictures, or documents they want you to see or sign.

Upon arrival the technician only spoke to my husband even though it was my car being repaired. They never contacted us to give us updates about the repair. We had to call in order to get any info.

When I arrived I was very nervous, since I love my car and take very good care of it. I was afraid that a shop wouldn't take as good care of my car as I would. But when I pulled in Krum saw me in the parking lot. Greeted my by name, and was just a pretty cool guy in general. He put me at ease and I really appreciated that. Hope ya'll enjoyed the doughnuts.

Everyone was super friendly and my repairs are done very quickly. My car looks brand new and they even cleaned my car! They were very helpful explaining how the repairs would work as someone who is going through this for the first time after an accident. They also had two very sweet dogs as helpers 😀
