I was not aware checks were not accepted. There was a problem processing my card because the system was down. It was up 10 minutes later but by then you were closed. I had already left without my car and had to return the next day. I would think a check could have been verified, or an offer made to wait a few minutes until Capital One credit card services came back on line.
