3 day job took 2 weeks. On initial estimate, service writer Robert said he would buff and polish non-painted surfacesas well but not include that on the written estimate. When I showed up to drop the car off, he acted as though he never said that. Had i not been referred by Tom Faulkner, I probably would have left and found another body shop. I dropped it off on Thursday afternoon prior to my Friday appointment. At that time, Robert said they might not get to it until Monday. Had I known that, I would have just dropped my car off on Monday but I had already driven up from Miami Lakes to drop it off and had my wife follow me. We didn't want to go through that again on Monday. I didn't hear a word from Robert until I called the following Thursday to see if m y car was ready. Only at that time did Robert tell me it wouldn't be ready until the following week. He said they didn't actuallt start the job until Tuesday and had problems removing the old paint. A courtest update phone call would have been nice. I then asked to speak to Eddieand phoned a mutual friend of Eddie's who recommended me to ask what his take wason the situation. I subsequently got a phone call back from Robert telling me that he phoned Eddie and recommended I be given a rental car. Eddie has never spoken to me. On Tuesday of the following week, I phoned Robert again and he said the car would probably be readyon Wednesday afternoon but he would call me when it was ready. I never heard from him and called on Thursday to ask on the status of the job. Robert then said it had been ready since Wednesday but somehow we
