Repair Quality

I brought my 2004 Lexus RX to Gerber for body and trim repair. Collision damage to front fender, front and back bumpers. Rust and corrosion on hood. Peeling paint on chrome window trim. Rt. side mirror was losing its reflective coating and needed replacement. Peeling paint on both side mirror assemblies. I assumed the peeling paint was something that could be repainted. When I received my car the left side mirror was unpainted with ugly white spots. My fault for not being more specific about what I wanted. The estimator’s fault for not letting me know that the mirror assembly could not be painted and must be replaced.

Because I didn’t want to be without a car for weeks, I preordered the body parts. I took my car in when the parts arrived. I rented a car for the duration of the repairs. I made several calls to check on the progress, and I extended my rental. I know car repairs usually take longer than anticipated. All they have to do is communicate the progress and any delays. Jade was friendly and helpful. Payton was helpful but seemed stressed.

I had to contact you all for updates. I was initially out of town and expected my car to be ready when I returned which I communicated several times. It was not ready which was completely fine, but I ended up spending half of a very busy work day trying to find a last minute rental car because no one told me in advance.
