I would never recommend them or the brand overall after that small mishap.

I picked up my GMC from Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Grosse Pointe, MI 48224 (Collision Department)on July 2. I drove it home that day, parked it, and, since I own more than one vehicle, I drove my other vehicle until today. On July 7, I drove the GMC and immediately noticed damage that was not present before the repair. Exhibit #1 shows the driver’s side interior door handle trim with two lateral scratches. The scratches are consistent with a trim removal tool having been used to remove the panel in order to replace the exterior door following the hit-and-run accident. Exhibit #2 shows the backside of that same trim piece with two broken retaining tabs/clips that are intended to secure it in place. Based on the location of the damage, the condition of the trim, and the repair that was performed, the evidence is consistent with the trim having been removed during the repair process and then reinstalled despite the broken retaining tabs. Exhibit #3 shows the passenger-side interior door handle trim, which has no scratches or damage, providing a comparison and indicating it was not removed or disturbed Exhibit #4 provides a Google Lens description identifying the trim piece Exhibit #5 provides an additional description confirming the trim piece must be removed during the repair process. My question is simple: If the evidence indicates the interior trim was removed as part of the repair process, why was it reinstalled with broken retaining tabs rather than replaced or, at the very least, disclosed to me? Was the expectation that I simply wouldn’t notice? That does not reflect the quality of workmanship or transparency I expect from a State Farm preferred repair facility. Because this repair was completed by a State Farm preferred repair facility, I am requesting that State Farm assign an adjuster or appraiser to inspect the vehicle, review the attached exhibits, and perform an independent inspection of the repair work completed by Gollings Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Grosse Pointe (Collision Department). I am requesting that the inspection include the interior door trim issue, the method and quality of the repair performed, and whether the vehicle was properly restored to its pre-loss condition. I would appreciate an independent evaluation based on the physical evidence and the workmanship completed during the repair process. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly by replacing the damaged interior trim with a brand-new OEM part. I also request confirmation that any replacement part installed is new OEM and not refurbished, used, or previously damaged, at no cost to me. This experience has eroded my confidence in both State Farm and Gollings Collision, and I trust this concern will be addressed promptly and professionally.
