There's room for improvement to be sure: I was told the part was “in stock” - thinking this meant they had possession of the part … nope, after a week I was told this meant the distributor had the part … it took another 2 weeks for them to receive possession of the part. It wasn't explained initially that there was a fee assessed if any part of the payment was via credit card; so, being unprepared I had to make a down payment via credit card which amounted to an needless expense (when I returned for the final payment a sign was on the counter detailing the payment differences). They installed a new roof on my van and later upon close inspection I discovered that sealing the seams of the roof gutter wasn't as professional as it should have been (the sealant wasn't uniform which means water/moisture could get underneath … I addressed the issue myself).

Some items: such as payment policy and the difference between a part being in supply vs being in possession - should be routine initial talking points.
