Initially there was a little delay in acknowledgment that my wife’s SUV and its keys in the drop box were received so I needed to reach out for a status and confirmation. After that, a person named Marisa Moeller was assigned the repair and Marisa did a great job of keeping me informed. She was very knowledgeable and friendly during the pick up after the work was completed as well.

Mike is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The ladies at the desk are kind and friendly. A culture this good doesn't happen by accident (no pun intended), so the leadership must be great!

I want to provide some honest feedback regarding my experience with the Holiday Collision Center. Air Tech currently operates a fleet of approximately 32 vehicles, consisting mostly of Ford Transit vans and five Ford F-150s. We purchase our vehicles from Holiday Automotive and bring them to Holiday for service and maintenance. We spend more than $40,000 to $50,000 per year with Holiday’s service department, so we consider ourselves a loyal and valuable customer. Unfortunately, we have repeatedly been disappointed with the way estimates and additional charges are handled by the Collision Center. Because we typically pay for smaller repairs out of pocket rather than submitting an insurance claim, I make it clear that I need an accurate estimate before authorizing the work. I expect the estimator to carefully inspect all reasonably accessible and visible damage before preparing the estimate. The estimate should account for everything that can reasonably be identified during that initial inspection—not just the most obvious damage, with additional items added later. At the same time, I am not asking Holiday to inflate future estimates or automatically quote the worst-case scenario simply to protect itself from an overage. I want a fair, thorough, and realistic estimate based on what the estimator can see and reasonably anticipate. If there is a specific area where hidden damage may be discovered after disassembly, that possibility and the potential additional cost should be explained upfront. If additional damage is discovered after the work begins, I expect to be contacted, given the revised total—not simply the amount of the additional charge—and asked for approval before any additional work is completed. In one previous situation, a $1,800 estimate resulted in a $3,700 invoice. On our most recent repair, the final bill was approximately $500 more than the estimate. I understand that hidden damage can be discovered after a vehicle is taken apart, but it is not acceptable to simply add those costs to the final invoice without clearly discussing the revised amount and receiving authorization first. I understand that someone contacted Ron from our shop this time and asked whether the additional work was acceptable. I appreciate that an attempt was made to obtain approval. However, I still want Holiday’s management to understand that this has happened multiple times and has damaged my confidence in the Collision Center. Ron may coordinate our vehicles, but any material increase over an approved estimate should be clearly communicated with the revised total before the work proceeds. We would prefer to keep all of our vehicle purchasing, service, maintenance, and collision work with Holiday. However, I need to know that estimates will be prepared carefully, priced reasonably, and respected—and that additional charges will not be incurred without clear prior authorization. Given the size of our fleet and the amount we spend with Holiday every year, I do not believe that is an unreasonable expectation. I would appreciate having someone from management address how this will be handled differently going forward. I am disappointed with my recent service experience. The repair took over three weeks despite an initial estimate of two. Getting an update was nearly impossible; the automated phone system made reaching a person frustrating, and receiving a basic update via text felt unprofessional for a delay of this length. While I understand the excuse provided was being “extremely busy”, poor communication and delayed responses are unacceptable. Coincidentally, the vehicle was only completed after I made repeated attempts to reach someone. Additionally, transparency regarding credit card processing fees would have been appreciated upfront, as I would have paid in cash to avoid the extra charge.
