I'll do one better than a comment... I'll write an entire review! Headline: Planet Ford Dallas.... Out of this world!!! Review: I did not expect to come out of a car accident with a favorite body shop, but here we are. Usually, dealing with collision repair feels like entering a strange little kingdom of clipboards, vague pricing, macho energy, and people who seem mildly offended that your damaged car has interrupted their day. Planet Ford Dallas was nothing like that. My insurance company recommended them after my accident, and from the very first phone call, they were friendly, relaxed, and easy to deal with. When I called to set up the appointment, they actually said, “If you’re running a little late, we’ll be here when you arrive!” That may sound simple, but after an accident, a calm human being on the other end of the phone feels like finding shade in the desert. The estimate process was simple and straightforward. My car is a make and model that is no longer manufactured, so I was bracing myself for the kind of number that makes you stare quietly into space. Instead, the estimate came in quite a bit lower than I expected. They could have made the process confusing or expensive, but they didn’t. Since it was late in the week, they gave me options without pressure. I could keep driving my car over the weekend and bring it back Monday when they could get parts, or I could leave it with them and they would help set me up with a rental that my insurance would cover. No drama. No hard sell. No weird “we know best” routine. When I brought the car back Monday morning, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever felt more comfortable handing my car over to anyone. The drop-off was incredibly fast. If I hadn’t spent a couple of minutes joking with a couple of the guys there, I probably would have been in and out in 3 to 5 minutes max. They had the car ready on the exact day they told me it would be ready. The repair looked perfect, but somehow that was only part of it. The car was spotless inside and out. I’m not exaggerating when I say it hasn’t looked this good or driven this well in years. Afterward, they called to make sure everything was to my liking and told me that if I ever needed them, just give them a call. I absolutely will. I’ve been driving for four decades, and this is the first time I’ve ever filled out a review with this many good things to say about anything related to automobile repair, sales, or service.
