I’m contacting you regarding my 2019 Chevy Silverado RST, which was recently in your shop for paint and body work to the cab and hood. When I picked it up, I noticed that the rocker panels — which previously only had some surface rust — now have visible holes and additional damage that was not there before it was brought in. I understand that rust can weaken metal, but this new damage clearly occurred while the truck was in your care. Reasonable care should have been taken to avoid worsening any preexisting condition, or I should have been contacted before any action was taken that could cause further harm to the vehicle. Given that the rocker panels were structurally intact before the repair and now have new holes, I expect this damage to be corrected by your shop. I have dated photos from before and after the repair that clearly document the difference. Please let me know when I can bring the truck back for you to inspect the damage and discuss the plan to have it repaired. I appreciate a prompt response so we can resolve this appropriately. My truck went in with no holes and cane out with 2 holes. I do acknowledge there was rust damage. But there were not holes in my truck.
