I drove 45 mins to bring the car to Ray Laethem because I know my Salesman and I like to be loyal with my business. I live in Troy and live in Clinton Twp so it's not for a convenience factor.

Repair Quality

In the accident 90oz of liquid hit the dash on the car, I specifically requested that this be cleaned and taken care of. The insurance was billed for a detail at Mr. C's and the car came back wiht Syrup all over it. I then started having some issues with the way the car shifted. I brought it back and expressed that I was disatisfied with the detail. They apologized and said they would rectify, however when I got it back again the next day nobody had even attempted to clean it again.

Customer Service

Ed was rude seemed unconcerned and actually said when I complained that there was syrup all over the car still that he was sorry he "probably should've looked at it when it came back"

My Experience

I walked in, gave the loaner car keys back, signed some papers, given my keys and told that my car was outside. One tire was too flat to drive on, nobody telling me anything about the repair or work warranty and a somewhat impersonal office. The one exception was a shop guy who helped put air in my tire. I didn't expect a party, and the repair looks good, but I did expect a little more.

I was told on 4 seperate occasions that my car was done. While just before leaving to pick up the car, or on my way to pick it up, I found out it was not completed and I could not pick it up. This caused issues as I have just started a new jnob in Novi and had to leave work early 4 times to make it to Gross Pointe before they closed. On the fourth time I went to pick up the car, I opened the car door (this was an area on the car that was in for repair) and the door dropped 1/4" and had to be lifted up to close it. Obviously not fixed. Once the door was fixed, I went to pick it up for the 5th time, drove the car off the dealership lot, drove 20 miles and with roughly 5 miles until an empty tank, I pulled off the expressway to get gas. Unfortunatley during the repair, the dealership neglected to hook up the gas cap release button and I could not put gas into the car. I called the dealer and and their only response was to drive the car back to the dealer and they would fix it. Unfortunately I did not have enough gas in the tank to make it back to the dealer and I could not put more in as I was unable to open the gas cap.
