Founded in 1973, Ripple’s Auto Body offers quality collision repair to the local community and surrounding areas. With over 70 years of combined experience, our staff of highly trained and professionally skilled employees focuses on your needs first. As of July 2018, we are under new ownership of the Lewis Family. Michael and Traci met and married over 24 years ago while both were employed at Shelby’s in Urbana in Urbana Illinois. Traci worked as the warranty clerk and accounts receivable, while Michael was the lead painter in the body shop. After leaving to continue his career in the automotive paint industry he worked for Dupont Automotive Refinish /Axalta Specialty Coatings for over 23 years. Over the last twenty-some years they have raised four grown children (an electrician, an air crewman, a banker and a pilot) and are the doting grandparents of 4 wonderful grandchildren. When away from work they enjoy boating and lake life.

I would give you a 12 if I could! I showed up at 0700 with my car to drop it off and pick up a rental, which was not waiting for me, this was an insurance snafu. The office manager was present at 0700 and aided me greatly in figuring out what happened. After determining that transportation was not going to be available for a prolonged period, the owner John allowed me to take my car and do what was needed to get my wife to work at St. John’s. When I returned I found the rental problem with my insurance company had only been partially resolved. The owner John then drove me in his personal vehicle to get the rental and stayed with me until a vehicle could be secured. My wife picked up her car and found it not only worked like new but had been cleaned and looked like new. Thank You so much for service that was above and beyond, and for picking up the slack other agencies left in my lap. Sincerely William M Lawless
