They seem like nice folks. Perhaps if I dealt with the owner from the beginning (on vacation) it would’ve turned out better. I dealt with three different people. Each told me something different. I was never provided a written estimate detailing what the job was going to be. I brought the truck in and was up front and honest about what was wrong and what I expected. The rear passenger door doesn’t open. The rockers need to be replaced and clean up and paint of rust on door bottoms. The truck was there for weeks before they even touched it. I got a phone call from the owner who told me things looked great but that he wasn’t making any money on this job. Implying he was doing me this great big favor. I have no idea what the job entails but I’m a carpenter and I know how to cut, join and fit things. Even done a little riveting. Long story short whenever someone sees what I paid $1300.00 for they laugh. “Wow Johnny you shoulda waited and got a kid from the Tech to do it.” Oh well maybe when I put the rocker covers (that they left under my backseat) on it’ll look finished. I’ve never complained or filled out a survey before but the clunking of my doors when I open and close them and the rattling of that door they “fixed” which still doesn’t open really pisses me off. It’s a constant reminder that I shouldn’t have had this work done at the Tin Knocker.
