Schaefer didn't do a great job of setting time expectations. I had no idea if the car would take a week or a month, even though I kept asking. I had to reach out for updates rather than receiving unsolicited updates. It took more than a month for my car to be fixed, so better communication might have helped me understand the delays.

I checked out three other repair shops. Shaffer's Auto Body set down. They talked to me. They told me step by step what would go on how they would go about everything. No other shop did that. They kept me informed they would reach out if they couldn't get parts and they were held up from coming in. They would call and inform me and let me know everything. I would recommend them 100% to anybody that needs car repairs for auto body. They do phenomenal work. They're so professional. It's unbelievable how they go beyond and above!

They were all very friendly. Did a phenomenal job. Can't even tell there was deer damage done to the vehicle. I appreciate it everything. They did an amazing job they took their time. They didn't rush through anything they provided me with all the updates. You can't ask for anything more. They went beyond and above! Quality of the repair is great but had almost zero communication and I had to call in for updates multiple times because the repair took almost twice as long. I understand parts not fitting correctly but I would have appreciated even the slightest bit of communication.

I realize that some issues were created by the Autoworkers strike, but I felt like the communication was not as good as during my three previous transactions with Schaefer. There were several times I called for an update and never received a call back. At the end, I was told by the repair person that my parts were in and he laid out a detailed timeline of how the job would progess, noting that a third-party would have calibrate rear motion sensors; however, when I called a week later for an update, I was told that my parts had conein that day (after being told a week prior that the parts were already there).
