I was told by estimator that a new tailgate was being out in. Later informed they were repairing it . No biggy really.... received call asking if I wanted a few small spots filled in since they were repainting it anyway. Wanted to charge 250 extra. Told them no. Not sure why the 2 spots where the paint actually just chipped off was not sanded down and filed. That 5 minutes could have taken care of that. Been to many body shops. They all would have just done it. For 5k I can't imagine why you would ever think I would ever return to you or give you a good review when those 2 spots that were so small were just left alone and painted over. It's called teke pride in your work and do a good job so the customer returns. Clearly only liking for a 1 time client . I'm in sales and customer service and I cannot even fathom that mindset. 5 minute repair ..... simply painted right over . Disappointed and seeing a huge lack of customer 1st . ThisnisnBodies by Lucas 1st. You would feel the same way if this were you . I promise guys!

I still hope to bring my C30 in one more time to see if my suggestions earlier may make a difference or if you have other better professional ideas to see if your shop can improve my ride to at least a 9 or 10. But everything considered with this recent experience with Lucas and how I have come to know from many people in Mechanicsburg, you business is well respected, and to add i have a high respect for my recent experience with you. But I feel my car is not performing at a standard I feel is acceptable to me, but at the same time, I spoke with Glen one recent late afternoon and expressed my desire for a better driving experience after my first repair attempt and he said to bring it by the shop and they would take another look at it without any hesitation. The second attempt at repairing my C30 was also an improvement, but it's only handling at a 7 out of 10. So ultimately everything considered, and myself respect for your quality business i would recommend you to people i know. Just hoping still that your shop can improve the repair and the ride quality of my car from a 7 to a 9 or 10. To elaborate a little the ride quality of my car, at a 7 currently, is acceptable, but the constant vibration still to be honest is extremely aggravating and annoying, buy tolerable. And it's not enjoyable to drive unfortunately but it does still get me from point A to point B. So it's functional but the ride is aggravating to me and annoying. I hope to have your shop give it another look and knock it out of the park so to speak and get my ride to a 9 or 10. Thank you.

I rated autobody by Lucas as a 7. I believe your shop is one of the best in Cumberland County and was happy that State Farm referred me to your company as the first choice. And living in Mechanicsburg my entire life have always felt Lucas is one of the best. And I really wanted to give you a 10, but the drivers side front wheel/tire/suspension still is not driving and handling as well as it should. And I did notice a slight improvement when Glen told me to bring in my Volvo C30 for a second attempt. But it could be better, and I feel Lucas has the potential to repair the driver's front to a perfect 10. But it is not quite at that level. I would like to bring it in one more time for Lucas to give it another try to make that repaired area of my C30 a perfect 10. Only Lucas would know more than I what else could be still not performing to a standard for me to rate the effort and the repair a perfect 10. I personally have two ideas or suggestions on possibly why my repaired tire/wheel/suspension is still feeling like it is shaking and vibrating the whole front of the car all the way up to my steering wheel and inner cabin. One idea is the wheel that was obtained is not actually perfectly round. And thus no amount of trying to balance the wheel/tire still isn't performing properly and vibration the whole car. I say this because I had a red C30 prior to this newer silver C30 and had an issue on route 15 about 10 years ago that ended up blowing out two of my tires at the sidewall and also bending the actual alloy wheel on 3 out of the 4 of the wheels. So at that time Lehman Volvo had a professional that literally specialized in taking a damaged bent wheel and turning it back into a perfect circle again. And then obviously with new tires on all 4 wheel handled like it was brand new and produced an absolute perfectly smooth ride. I had my doubt then that anyone could do that, but Lehman did a perfect job. So this is why one reason I suggest to Lucas is possibly look into the replace wheels actual perfect roundness or lack of roundness. Without this wheel being perfectly rounded no amount of trying to balance the wheel/tire will ever produce a smooth ride. Sorry for the long text, but I was hoping or expecting my repaired car to perform better. I say this because I've driven a volvo s40 and then c30 for more than 15 years. So again this is just a suggestion to check from a long time volvo driver. So this is my suggestion knowing volvos well and knowing how Lehman volvo repaired my damaged prior c30 to nearly a perfect 10 ride quality and performance. And then the second suggestion that may work is take the front wheels including the "new" front left one and rotate the front wheels to the back, and the back wheels to the front. This may be effective getting what I think is possibly an inferior front left new wheel and rotating it to the back, so it isn't vibrating the steering wheel as much. Which I must say at this current time is extremely annoying when driving it. But if the wheel is not perfectly round and unbalancable would possibly get rid of the annoying vibration steering wheel, and then it would be anyone's guess if this would fix the car vibrating. I think it's a strong possibility that it may eliminate the horrible steering wheel vibration that is still present, but... it could still keep the annoying car vibration. These are my two ideas of what may be wrong with the car, and solution to the poor performance and handling of the C30.

I believe again living in Mechanicsburg my entire life autobody by Lucas is among the best places someone could bring the damaged vehicle for A+ repairs. So for the customer service talking with two different ladies at the shop during the repair, and also my interaction with Glen briefly, this part I felt my experience with the staff was very professional and productive. Giving me a very good feeling about autobodies by Lucas and a strong sense of professionalism I have grow to understand from Lucas in my 50+ years being a local in mechanicsburg, and hearing very positive respect of your business from different people I have talked with on occation over the years about the great staff and repair quality.
