I understand the negotiation process with the insurance company but for what the final bill was a person could have painted 2 vehicles. If you know that your past estimates have been off.....way off why would you not adjust??

I understand that the business was busy but I wait 6 months to get an estimate. Felt like the estimate was complete, comprehensive and reasonable for the damage. (few scratches in paint). I wait another 6 months for the work to be completed and then find out the cost was much much more expensive nearly 5X original estimate. The explanation I received was this is how these have been going. Frankly it feels like fraud.
