Very disappointed with the outcome of the repair process. Three weeks total, with primarily just the door being replaced. Service advisor explained that some repairs are outsourced to another Caliber location. He stated that it would probably be a whole new door rather than a repair. Upon arrival to pick up the keys to the car, I again asked the service advisor if a new door was installed, and he assured me that a new door was installed. In addition, it looked like the trim for the side view mirror was not fastened down properly. Service advisor brought the car back into the service bay to complete the repair to the side view mirror. I came back the next morning to pick up the car and discovered the same side view mirror was not working properly. It would move side to side with the electric switch, but not up and down. The service advisor had one of the technicians bring the car back into the shop bay to make the necessary repairs. Upon arriving home, I reviewed the final repair invoice and it listed that the door was not new, but used. This was an insurance claim and I was not at fault, so I was surprised that the door was not new. This is a car with high mileage and other body wear and tear, but it still should have been explained clearly up front that they intended to use recycled parts, and not use the word “new” when describing planned repairs.
