The text status update seems like a great idea, but I received no updates except when I dropped off and when it was “ready.” Except when it was “ready”, it wasn’t actually ready when I called. At one point, I called to check the status and found out it had been sitting idle for about 2 days because they thought Allstate’s system was down. Once I got Allstate to conference call the shop guy, we discovered he needed to submit the supplemental claim using a different browser. What if I hadn’t called? Why did no one contact me? I’m disappointed that my repair took 11 days to complete, and I had to call and beg to get my car back today as I have to drive to work next week. The work done seems very good, but communication needs some work. You asked.
