The shop sent e-mails to let me know how the work was progressing (ordering parts, etc.). They called me on the phone and also sent me an e-mail detailing the work that was needed and how much it would cost.

The vehicle was repaired on 04/15/2015, and we paid them our $250 deductible. On Friday, 04/17/2015, my spouse checked the correspondence from USAA and discovered a check to cover our deductible had been mailed to Circle Auto Body. I contacted Circle Auto Body and informed them of this information. The individual I spoke with checked his information from USAA and confirmed a check had been sent. After discussion with his manager, he informed me that they would call me once the USAA check arrived, and issue a check to refund our deductible. As of 04/24/2015, I have not heard from them.
