Someone smashed my passenger side window and mirror of my car, so I took it to Classic Collision in Gainesville, Florida on the morning of Monday, July 21st for an estimate. They quoted me an estimate of $1,773.15, which I approved and signed the paperwork for. On Friday, July 25th, I went to pick up my car and they informed me that it would be over $2100 to retrieve my vehicle. I had not been informed of this change to my estimate, nor had I approved it. This is blatantly illegal behavior - changing an estimate price after mutual confirmation on a previously agreed upon price without any notification of the change. Had I been informed of this price change, I would have declined to approve the repair. Because I was not informed, I had no option but to haggle with the shop and negotiate their unfairly updated price down to $1,995.95. This is blatantly unethical and illegal conduct that is not deserving of any reputable business.

Classic Collision gave me a quote I paid a deposit Then got told price now double and when I asked for my deposit back, I was told to wait 7-10 days for a check although I paid by credit card Its been almost a month now and still haven’t received my deposit back!!!
