Absolutely frustrating experience dealing with Crash Champions and the only reason I did so was because my insurance provider recommended them, would never return otherwise. I understand shops get busy, parts can be on back order, estimations can get pushed back, but Crash dropped the ball every chance they could and communication only happened when I called after the latest deadline was missed. I originally dropped my car off at the Shorewood location August 4. My bumper had been damaged, I fastened it with a tow strap and drove it to the shop with the bumper included. That part is important. August 6 my car was transferred to Yorkville, estimated completion date August 19. I call August 20. Am told pieces that are necessary to attach bumper back to car have not all arrived, car is 90% complete otherwise. Parts will arrive "in next day or two." I call August 24. Apparently there were parts that were not on the vehicle schematic, but were necessary to attach bumper. Parts should arrive tomorrow. I call Tuesday August 25, after noticing that the estimated cost jumped from $4,500 to $6,600. It is that this point I am told that the bumper disappeared in between when I dropped the car off in Shorewood and when it arrived in Yorkville, but that insurance was still going to cover costs. My assumption is the bumper was scrapped and all usable pieces were salvaged at one of the two shops, with the expectation being that they were going to order a full set of parts anyway since Allstate was going to pay anyway so why not. Parts were still not all there, should be done "within the next day and a half." I get a call Friday August 28 from the Shorewood location. Car is complete, and ready to go back to the Shorewood location. Mike from Yorkville says he was putting the call in for the tow to take place that evening so that I can pick up in the morning, though wouldn't guarantee it. I call Shorewood Saturday August 29 at 10am, they don't have my car. I call Yorkville, they tell me the tow is on the way. Saturday, August 29 after 11am, car has finally arrived. I tell them I'll get ready and be on my way. They don't tell me to hurry since apparently they close at noon and the professional thing to do would have been to let me know that so I could sprint down there. Alas, that is not the Crash Champions Way. I arrive 11:58, the building is locked and completely dark. No answer at either door. I call both Shorewood and Yorkville leaving messages letting them know I am upset over the lack of communication and with the fact I now have to extend my rental an additional 2 days (at this point, an extra 10 days past when the estimated completion date originally was. They had my car over 3 weeks by this point.) Neither location bothered to call me back and follow up. I pick my car up Monday, August 31 in Shorewood. The receptionist was very nice, asked if I had any issues. I told her I did, but I would be putting it in writing elsewhere. I didn't want to yell at someone that didnt deserve it. Overall, absolutely miserable experience. Would not recommend, and if I ever have the misfortune of having to bring my car in I will do everything in my power to convince Allstate to let me go to a shop that actually values its customer's time.

The repairs themselves look good, though they took way longer than promised and communication throughout was awful

I'm not really sure on that one yet. I'm still waiting for someone to contact me to finish fixing my bumper.

My bumper is still not fixed right. It shakes terribly when driving. I'm still waiting on them to figure out what part is missing.

Customer Service

The lady at the front desk was super friendly. I'm sorry I don't know her name.

My car is brand new, only one car payment in, and it was a hit and run. Crash Champions walked us through the process and even had to order parts from the dealer since it was a brand new car. Our loaner was aligned with our drop-off also. Customer service was great every time I called. We also received text messages with updates. To top it off, my car looks fantastic! I strongly recommend the Yorkville location for excellent results and customer service!

My Experience

I’ll try to be as fair and professional as possible, but the service I received was beyond unacceptable. The communication was absolutely terrible, and it seemed like not a single person had accurate information about the status of my vehicle. I was originally told I would have my vehicle back by the 18th. That date was then pushed to the 24th & I still did not have my vehicle back. At one point, I called and the receptionist told me, “Yeah, it’s ready. Come on and get it.” Once I asked two simple follow-up questions, she suddenly said, “Ohh, let me check on that.” It turned out the vehicle was nowhere near ready. The vehicle was also supposed to be taken to a mechanic to check for possible additional damage, including the CV, etc. I was specifically told it would be delivered within the hour. Four hours later, I called to check on it, only to find out that it still had not been delivered. Once again, there was another excuse for why it hadn’t been done. This was excuse after excuse, missed deadline after missed deadline, & horrible communication throughout the entire process. I had to repeatedly call just to get basic information, and even then, the information I was given was often incorrect or completely contradicted by what I was told later. Honestly, the only positive thing I can say about the entire experience is that they had free cookies & I wouldn’t normally even mention that, but it was genuinely the ONLY positive thing I can come up with. When you’re dealing with someone’s vehicle and they are depending on you to provide accurate information and meet the timelines you promised, this level of disorganization & communication is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I will also be sharing my experience across multiple review platforms so that others can make an informed decision before choosing this place.

Terrible service. No communication, nothing went well. Absolutely useless place.

Replaced the bumper twice. Takes forever to get any information on what is happening.

Customer Service

Nobody returned my calls, receptionist was super rude. Everyone was not communicating within the office either. Completely incompetent people.
