A few things were not done well and indicative of a lack of attention to details. Some minor parts were forgotten and I had to point them out to the shop. When I was informed that I could pick up my vehicle, on the spot, they had forgotten to replace a cap hub even though the car had an extra 24 hours waiting before I came to pick it up. Then after I went home and had a closer inspection, they had also forgotten to put in a clip bolt on a frame. Overall, very minor things but I ended up having to go back to the shop one more time for the clip bolt, which was a hassle.

This has been a few weeks but I wanted to wait until I no longer feel annoyed so I could write a clear-headed survey. The customer service experience at the DarCars Eastern Ave Collision Repairs in Baltimore was disappointing. The main receptionist, Cindy, was competent but uncooperative at times. I do not know if this was because of how busy the shop was at the time, but I felt afraid to ask more questions about my repairs because their curt response made it seem I was taking up their time. My car was damaged during a carjacking incident and experienced further damage under police custody. The insurance company was very understanding of this but working with Cindy felt like I had to convince her of all of my issues in order to justify my request for why I wanted certain things to be looked at. It seemed like the shop was more interested in protecting the insurance company's interest rather than the actual concern of my vehicle. The communication overall was uncomfortable, I felt talked down to and therefore disinclined to ask any more questions. Furthermore, I don't completely feel that the repair had addressed all issues that came from my damage -- some issues with the headset sound came up that was not there before I brought the car to the shop, however, I was not able to prove that and while Cindy did say that she would contact the insurance company about this issue, I never heard from her again. Overall, I was disappointed that I waited for some 2 extra weeks for an opening at the shop to bring my car in only to receive this kind of service. I chose to bring the car to a dealer instead of another auto body shop listed by my insurance trusting that the dealer would provide some stellar service, but this experience proved that it was not worth it.
