D&V Autobody is a USAA-approved shop, but they did not disclose upfront that their subsidiary, D&V Autobody Masters was not a USAA-approved business even though they would be doing the actual repairs. This likely caused unnecessary delays with insurance and added extra work on my end. That said, Mr. Michael Childs and the receptionists at D&V Autobody Masters were excellent, professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout the two-month repair process. The repairs themselves were completed correctly and look great. The main issue was the slow supplemental processing. Since Masters isn’t USAA-approved, communication seemed to go back through D&V Autobody, which made everything take longer. I had to contact USAA myself several times just to keep things moving. I hope D&V Autobody Masters becomes USAA-approved in the future to reduce delays and confusion. Also, holding a customer’s vehicle until every payment clears creates unnecessary stress when the delays are between the shop and the insurance company at that point. Overall, I do recommend D&V Autobody and Autobody Masters for their quality of work and customer service but it’s important for customers to have full transparency from the start.

Our point of contact was Mike and he was very attentive to our questions. He also dealt expertly with our insurance company who was difficult dealing with an uninsured motorist. Great customer service from the whole staff!

Excellent work, but numerous delays; I needed to extend my rental vehicle 14 days at $44/day (that's $616 extra out of my pocket). Plus a last minute extra charge of over $400 for one OEM part. The CSR did okay, but was somewhat lacking in status update communication, in my opinion.
