Gene's Import Auto Body works on all make and model cars. Since we are consider the premium shop in the Monterey Bay area local dealerships asked us to be there body shop. The dealerships are : BMW; MERCEDES; PORSCHE; TESLA; LEXUS; and TOYOTA. Our standards are high but are prices are comparable to the surrounding shops. We have certified technicians to work on Mercedes and Tesla but being the premier shop and have worked on 100's of other luxury models we are considered the shop to go too. We work with all insurance companies, and with estimators having over 30yrs of experience with insurance companies, the process will go much smoother.

I picked up my car this afternoon and so far so good. No problems so far. My one criticism is when took my car n for an estimate the estimator asked whether or not I would be using insurance or paying for this myself. I asked why does that matter, and the answer was “it doesn’t”. Then why ask the question? My read is you are charging me more because I paid the bill myself. If I were using insurance your estimate would have to be lower in order to comply with the insurance company would pay. You guys shouldn’t be doing that.

Spoke with Ray. My outside temperature sensor has been incorrectly reinstalled after the repair work and so I will have to come back to have it corrected. I have arranged to see Ray tomorrow (Wednesday 26th) at 9:00am.
