This is a difficult question for me at this time. I believe Gerber Collison in DeWitt does excellent work and my experience was rare. My score may go up after I have time to settle down. I still worry something is going to happen when I get in my car. Hopefully, that will go away and I can give my recommendation to your business.

I was very pleased with the communication throughout my repair and the repair itself looks great. The reason for the lowest score possible is for the crowbar they left under the hood of my car!! I drove home from my Mothers house after picking up my car and heard a thunk and then a load scrapping noise. It was so loud I thought the engine hit the ground! I couldn’t drive forward or in reverse without hearing something scrapping the noise! I pulled over in the side of the road and waited 30 minutes for my husband to arrive. He found a crowbar wedge in the engine compartment! He was able to release it and we didn’t see any damage. Gerber Collison was closed for the holiday wknd so I couldn’t let them know until Tuesday morning. I dropped the crowbar off and let them know how SCARY the incident was and irresponsible it is for a technician to leave a tool under the hood! This could have caused an accident or damaged something in the engine! I do have to give the gentleman credit that I spoke with at the desk yesterday, he was very apologetic, kind and listened as I explained what happened and gave my recommendation to what they should do so it doesn’t happen again. Please know that this man is an asset to your company, it’s hard to find people like that and he is a good one! I was very upset when I spoke with him, but he remained calm and spoke with sincere apology. My recommendation is that you paint your tools with a neon color so you can see them when they are left under a hood or somewhere dark. This is an easy solution that would help this to not happen again.I do not want the technician who did this to lose their job, (unless this kind of thing has happened before). I understand that mistakes happen and we all deserve a chance to learn from our mistakes. I hope your entire team takes this opportunity to learn from this and find ways for it to it happen again.
