Harvil Auto Body is a family-owned, fourth-generation auto body shop with a rich history that began in 1910 as a Studebaker dealership, selling and servicing cars and trucks in Chesterton, Indiana. Fred Harvil Sr. eventually started his own shop in 1958, Fred’s Auto Body, a well-respected repair shop in Chesterton, Indiana. In 1974, the family relocated to Tempe, Arizona, where Fred Harvil Jr. and Tim Harvil established Harvil Auto Body. Today, with Tim’s son, Matt Harvil, operating the company, the business continues to honor its legacy with expert auto body repair. With decades of experience, Harvil Auto Body is committed to providing top-notch craftsmanship, attention to detail, and exceptional customer care. Matt was helpful in navigating the ins and outs with my insurance. He was able to explain everything to me clearly. He communicated effectively throughout the whole process. Absolutely amazing, had a personal text chain so it was easy to contact them regarding the vehicle. They coordinated very fast and got the car drivable within a couple days too. The car looks like absolutely nothing happened. They cleaned the interior and exterior too, truly great service. Amazing people here would for sure go back again and again! (also they do lifetime warranty batteries which is a steal)

Harvil did an amazing job. This experience was literally the total opposite of the last experience I had with an auto body shop. They were personable, reliable, astute & so easy to work with. Quite honestly, it was practically effortless to work with them. All I had to worry about was getting a ride to & from. It was that simple! They even fixed something the other auto body shop screwed up! And, the time they quoted to do the work was exactly what they told me it would be! Thanks, Harvil!
