Harvil Auto Body is a family-owned, fourth-generation auto body shop with a rich history that began in 1910 as a Studebaker dealership, selling and servicing cars and trucks in Chesterton, Indiana. Fred Harvil Sr. eventually started his own shop in 1958, Fred’s Auto Body, a well-respected repair shop in Chesterton, Indiana. In 1974, the family relocated to Tempe, Arizona, where Fred Harvil Jr. and Tim Harvil established Harvil Auto Body. Today, with Tim’s son, Matt Harvil, operating the company, the business continues to honor its legacy with expert auto body repair. With decades of experience, Harvil Auto Body is committed to providing top-notch craftsmanship, attention to detail, and exceptional customer care. I was very happy with the repairs. The insurance wanted to use generic aftermarket parts and the repair shop was able to use all Toyota OEM parts. Let's just say when I got to the shop to pick up my car, I forgot which side the damage was on. If I know anyone who needs a repair, I will definitely refer them to the awesome mom and pop repair shop.

I was google for the best body shop near me. And I was so delighted to find there are still have good and honest and caring people to work with. The first day when I was there for the initial estimate, I had the front part of the bumper need to put back. Fred is one of the owner was there and he and the technician took their time and got that in one piece and I thought it was not easy and at no charge. And after Sean looked at the car door that my car got hit and he gave me the estimate. I asked him what is it that what this shop offer that I cannot find elsewhere. He told me that Harvil has been in the business for 30 years and they are families owned and they care for the quality of the services that makes customers happy. I went to the other party's insurance to get the estimate. It seems that I need to bring the car back to Harvil because I loved what I experienced already. It took me many days to find that email that Harvil's shop sent me because I forgot the name. Finally I found it. I was told the car might be done on Thursday or after. I got the car Wednesday and everything looked so professional. They even did some thing extra like the signal if the light and the missing piece on the light cover side was missing. I was more than thrilled. I loved the over delivery part. Fred is so kind and so good worker. He was polishing my headlight when I came back from returning my rental car. I thought to myself, these people deserve a Gold Metal for their Goodness. In addition, if Fred is not married, I would take hi out fir dinner. This is a superior body shop. And very caring people. We recently took my wife’s car to Harvil’s Auto Body after a minor accident involving a cyclist who hit the side of her vehicle. The impact caused damage to the hood and some of the interior paneling. From the moment we walked in, the team at Harvil’s was incredibly professional, kind, and efficient. They coordinated everything seamlessly—including setting up the rental car—and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The repairs were completed faster than we expected, and the quality of the work was excellent. Her car looked brand new when we picked it up.
