The Ramos’ opened the Ashland Va. chapter of their lives with Haskins Motor Car Company in the winter of 1985. Their fledgling business flourished over the years and they purchased the former “Jim’s Body Shop” in Port Haywood in early 2007. After cleanup and repair of the facility, they opened the doors to Haskins Bayside in Feb. 2008 and subsequently sold the Ashland location that fall. With their home in Onemo Va., their children and grand kids in Gloucester, they have settled into a life of family, business and community.
