The repair itself was great. I have an issue with the costs. I stated that I would be paying out of pocket if the repairs were close to my deductible, and I was originally quoted $450 to fix the mirror. After speaking with my wife, we agreed to go through insurance since we have been paying on it. When I called to make the appointment for drop off, I told Dan that we had changed our minds and wanted to go through insurance. I could tell there was resentment in his voice when I told him this. When my car was complete, the total bill came to $1200. This is three times more than what was in the original estimate. I feel like the charges were increased since we were going through insurance.

Now I regret not going with the first estimate which was lower than the $1200 at Shaefer, auto body. In the long run, my insurance rates will be increased.
