There was a distinct lack of communication between the mechanic, myself, and my insurance. There we’re no updates to the estimated completion date given to me or my insurance company and we had to spend hours on the day the estimated completion date said it would be completed to find out that the parts for my car had been on back order for two weeks. To be clear, I don’t believe that parts being on back order is anything to be upset or angry about (things happen in the best of times and these aren’t the best of times). But I shouldn’t have to call on the estimated completion date, after my insurance and I have been given messages saying everything is on schedule to find out at the last minute that things were not on schedule and were in fact two weeks behind.
