I would recommend this shop, saying the staff is friendly and helpful. I would just tell the person that they might have to proactively ask for status updates, especially regarding the final completion date and time.

My car was fixed quickly, but the status updates via text were not very accurate, especially when it said my car was ready. Given that people may have to make arrangements to pick up their car at a certain day and time, more accurate status updates would be helpful.

The front desk ladies and the shop employees that I personally dealt with were very helpful and informative. I was used to a different process from previous accidents. In the past at other shops, you'd drop your car off and an estimator would look at the car with you and you'd agree on which damage was from the accident and later you'd get an estimate. In this case, I dropped my car off and didn't hear anything until my insurance adjustor sent me the estimate. I prefer to know the estimate before the work is started.
