I would tell them to be specific in their questions and tell them to inform them before beginning work.

They only fixed the door and did a great job but I wasn’t informed in advance that they felt the other problems weren’t from the accident. I should have been told prior to them fixing the door and I could have decided if I wanted to go elsewhere.
