ABOUT BAY CUSTOM AUTO Located in the heart of Newport News, Bay Custom Auto has been operating since 1981 in the collision repair business. Starting as a mechanical repair business in 1971, Bay Custom moved to its current location in 1981. The original founder, Ron George, built a company based on both integrity and quality. As one of the oldest remaining businesses in Denbigh, the auto body shop has grown and improved every year. Our quality and determination for customer satisfaction is one of the main reasons for our success. They did a wonderful job fixing my car. When I called to ask questions they were very polite and helpful with all my concerns. My car was returned spotless. Everyone was so professional and your lobby/check in was clean and neat.

Bay custom was on our #1 list for any of our vehicles that needs body work or paint repair. We’ve recommended bay to many people in the past including family members. Unfortunately, we are now hesitant about picking Bay as the first option moving forward and may have to shop around and research for better place next time.

The quality wasn’t the best I’ve seen from bay custom per our past experiences. As a longtime customer, the vibe we got was lack of quality control and accountability prior to calling customers to schedule for pickup. The work itself should have never passed out of the shop. As a business owner ourselves, it takes a-lot more effort to gain/keep customers than losing customers. Also, the word of mouth and social media these days are very powerful tool! Be careful because these tools can stack against ya. I hope this feedback helps bay custom in a positive way.

I wish the communication and coordinating the pickup could have been better. Third time was the charm! But we appreciate destiny and Brian for putting their keen eyes on the vehicle for us and making sure the vehicle met our expectations.
