ABOUT BAY CUSTOM AUTO Located in the heart of Newport News, Bay Custom Auto has been operating since 1981 in the collision repair business. Starting as a mechanical repair business in 1971, Bay Custom moved to its current location in 1981. The original founder, Ron George, built a company based on both integrity and quality. As one of the oldest remaining businesses in Denbigh, the auto body shop has grown and improved every year. I needed work done in response to a failed state inspection. Destinee was terrific. She made the process that much easier. Also the speed in which I was able to get in to have the work done. Totally good experience. Highly recommend.

I appreciated that I was offered two different options which varied in price (which was important to me since I was pay out of pocket) for some minor repairs. I chose the lesser due to the information provided and the time required to complete the job. It worked out perfectly, I dropped my vehicle off about 9:15 am and picked it up at 4:30. I am very satisfied with the results.

I brought my car to Bay Custom after a car accident. They fixed my car ahead of schedule which was fantastic but there was a problem with the paint and had to be redone to prevent future problems. They also called me about the wheel lock key to get my tire off. I told them it was in the glove compartment. They insisted it wasn’t there or anywhere in the car. I had to call the dealership to see if they could go to Bay to remove the lock. Bay Custom told me they didn’t have a universal wheel lock key they could use. When we picked my car up after they fixed the paint the guy told us they used a universal wheel lock key to remove my tire. When I got home I checked the glove compartment and there was the wheel lock key. So there was some unnecessary stress and lack of communication about the use and having a universal wheel lock key. Overall we are very pleased with the work completed. They just need to work on their communication and seeking skills.
