I would recommend the shop based on the professional attitudes of the people and the quality of the repair, but to tell them to expect it to take longer than what you guys promise so that they don't get their hopes up.

Shaun and the others were professional when I talked to them and it was great I didn't have to spend too much time to talk to someone on the phone. However, if you promise two weeks, you should at least make the effort communicate why it's taking longer than expected after those two weeks are over or close to over. A simple phone call or an accurate text saying, "I know we said two weeks, but it looks like the parts are taking longer than expected to arrive. Just wanted to let you know on the status." This lets customers know that you haven't forgotten about the car repair. The onus to follow up shouldn't lie with the customer to continually nag you guys for updates. It's make the process stressful for the customers and I'm sure for you too.
