I would probably recommend Caliber for collision repair, but would warn the friend or family member about their policy that they'll need to take their car in and THEN they'll order the part(s). So their car may be sitting over there for a while during the wait. During this time period, they'll need to get a rental car.

Repair Quality

I'm happy with the work Caliber did in replacing my rearview mirror. The only thing I found odd was that they schedule your appointment to repair your car. You take the car in, and THEN they order the part. Your car has to sit there in the parking lot until the part comes in (I was told it could be one day, 3 days, or up to a month). During this time while your car sits in their parking lot waiting for the part to come in, you have to get a rental car. When I asked why they just can't order the mirror and THEN I'll bring the car in, I was told it was because they don't want a customer to cancel. That may be the policy, but yet paying for a rental car while your car sits in their parking lot waiting on a part seems a bit excessive to me. My insurance policy covers the rental car, but yet SOMEONE is paying for it.

Repair Quality

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Caliber Collision. My vehicle stayed with them for a total of 43 days because of a relatively minor accident, and despite all that time, the repair quality and communication were unacceptable. After leaving my vehicle with them, I received almost no updates regarding the repair process. I constantly had to call and ask for information myself. When I first dropped off the vehicle, my contact information was correct on all documents. Later, they claimed the phone number in their system was incorrect and that they had been contacting the wrong number — yet somehow they were still able to send me a notification saying my vehicle was “ready.” When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, it clearly was NOT ready. Multiple sensor warning lights were on, the newly painted bumper had visible paint defects, and the LED light next to the headlight had been pushed inside the bumper during installation. On top of that, the panel gaps between the bumper and headlights were uneven. The accident damage was on the RIGHT side of the vehicle, yet somehow the LEFT side now has a very noticeable gap between the bumper and headlight that did not exist before. Despite all these obvious issues, they still called me to pick up the car. When I pointed out the problems, the employee delivering the vehicle told me there was no manager available and asked me to bring the car back on Monday. I returned the vehicle again, and Nicholas, the service advisor, told me to come back two days later. I brought the vehicle back again on April 28th and was finally given a rental car. I did not receive the vehicle back until May 14th. Even after all this time, the headlight and bumper gap issue is STILL NOT FIXED. When I addressed this concern, they tried to shift responsibility by saying the installed part was aftermarket. That excuse is completely unacceptable. Whether a part is OEM or aftermarket, it is still the shop’s responsibility to install and align it correctly. I even spoke with the insurance adjuster, who confirmed the exact same thing: aftermarket parts must still fit properly and the vehicle should be returned in correct condition. Instead of taking responsibility, Caliber employees continued blaming the insurance company and the aftermarket part approval. The reality is simple: poor workmanship and lack of attention caused these issues. My vehicle now has visible alignment problems on the side that was never damaged in the accident. Overall, this was one of the worst repair experiences I’ve ever had. Terrible communication, extremely long delays, careless workmanship, and zero accountability.

Communication inconsistent with my husband not being followed up when he asked for calls back regarding status. Car had dirt and grim still on outside after being told that it was all cleaned. I pointed out the marks on trunk wing however once home I noted more over the roof and both sides that needed cleaned.
