I’m not sure why the headlight ( even though it appeared to be not impacted by the accident and very much operational) was replaced by an aftermarket unit. A sharp eye can easily tell its aftermarket as it does not have the telltale Corolla Cross inscription. Doesn’t that make it qualify for OEM? When I asked for the alleged bad headlight back and why I didn’t get an OEM part, Brandon said he’d get back to me but never did. Other than that irritant, the repair appears to be done well. I’ve used Caliber in the past in Boise ID and did not run into this problem.

I feel there was a lack of transparency throughout this entire process. I was told one thing, but something completely different was done. I was informed that my bumper would be replaced, but when I received my truck back, the bumper had not been replaced. I was later told the reason was because the damage was considered “prior damage,” and repairing it would bring the vehicle back to 100%, which they said they could not do under the claim. Instead, they told me I would either have to pay $380 out of pocket for a new bumper or they would send me a check for $600 so I could handle the replacement myself. It has now been over a month, and I still have not received any payment. On top of that, while my truck was still in their possession, I left a review regarding my experience. I feel that the employee assisting me, Julian, may have retaliated because when I got my truck back, the lug nuts on the left tire appeared to have been loosened. The tire cover was put back on, but the wheel was rattling to the point where it nearly came off. Thankfully, I caught it in time, although one of the studs was unfortunately damaged. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated and with the level of professionalism I expected from Caliber Collision.

The bodywork appears rushed and poorly done. It looks like the damaged area was simply hammered out, filled with body filler (Bondo), then repainted and buffed. Now that some time has passed, the repair is starting to show signs of the original damage underneath. The finish does not look consistent, and the quality of the repair is disappointing. Overall, I am very unsatisfied with the workmanship and expected a much higher standard of quality.

The repair went great and Brandon explained everything to us. The only problem was when Brandon went next-door to adjust the tire pressure. Instead of 34 it was at 44. I want Brandon to know for future reference.
