As someone with experience in the collision repair industry, I understand that delays happen. What I don’t accept is poor communication and misleading customers. Our vehicle was at Caliber Collision on Avenue M for nearly 65 days for what should have been a relatively straightforward repair involving the rear bumper, liftgate, and tow hitch. We even received an automated update stating our vehicle would be ready for pickup, but after calling the shop that same day, we were told it hadn’t even gone into paint yet. We were also told the repair was delayed because the vehicle had reached a total loss threshold and they were waiting on the insurance company. After contacting our insurance company ourselves, we learned they had no record of any total loss discussion. Instead, they advised the delay was due to the shop’s welder being broken. When we finally picked up our vehicle, we discovered the shop had lost one of our molding pieces and now has to reorder it. The lack of transparency, communication, and accountability throughout this repair was unacceptable. Not one member of management apologized on behalf of their team or took ownership of our experience. I am leaving this review to inform future customers and do not wish to be contacted by Caliber regarding this matter.

I am satisfied with the work but not with the time it took for repairs. I understand the problem with getting damaged parts but Caliber did repair everything to my expectations- even the new tire I had to get. Thank you for paying attention to details.
