I have to take off points because no one called to let me know that my car needed additional repairs that pushed the repair time. If I'd had a heads up, it would have been much easier for me to pick up a rental car when I needed it.

Very Slow Service.

Very slow response rates. Would call for status updates. Often got no response even after calling multiple times.

I brought my car to Caton Auto Body for an estimate because I had run over a curb and knocked a piece of molding off. When Gisele looked at it, I told her I wanted to replace the molding and paint it. She said ?Is that really how you want to fix this?? and explained that the part of the car where the molding attached was bent and that the new molding wouldn?t fit correctly if it wasn?t straightened and repaired correctly. She wrote me 2 estimates ? one for just replacing the molding ($395) and one for ?doing it right? ($825). I got a coupled other estimates that were in the same $800 range and I checked the dealer and online to see if I could get the part cheaper, but it was the same price at the dealer ($204) and, although I could get it online for less, shipping always brought the price back to around $200. What Gisele said to me (?Is that really how you want to fix this??) and the fact that she said the higher estimate was to for ?doing it right? is what brought me back to Caton Auto Body. I dropped my car off and was told it would be ready in about 3 days. Two days later, Gisele called me to tell me they forgot to include in the estimate the plastic clips that attach the molding to the car and that it would be about $15 more. I thought this was kind of nickel-and-diming me since there was a $30 charge for shop supplies in the estimate that other shops didn?t include, but I said ok because the charge was so small. On the third day, I called to see if my car was ready and Gisele told me it would be another day and she would call me when it was ready. On the fourth day, a man called from the ship to tell me that the molding was now $299 instead of the $204 I was quoted everywhere I?d checked, but that he would split the difference with me and only charge me $250. At this point, I was thinking whatever, I just need to get my car back. That afternoon when I picked my car up, I was extremely disappointed to notice that the molding didn?t like up in the back and had like a 2? gap between the molding and the car. So much for fixing it right. I took the car home very dissatisfied with my experience with Caton Auto Body. The simple job of replacing a single piece of molding took longer than expected, the price constantly changed, and the work was of poor quality.
